The city of Ermoupolis, Greece's first natural port, remains a beautiful neoclassical city with industrial history and cultural richness. On the north side of the island, you can discover archaeological settlements dating back to 3000 BC, a throwback to the past.

During the hot summer months, buses run from the port of Hermoupolis to the deep blue beaches of the island, such as Azolimnos, Vari, Achladi, Poseidonia, Finikas and Galissas. Each of them offers a unique experience, and you can also rent a car or decide on a pleasant taxi ride to the uninhabited northern part of the island. There, the paths lead you among fragrant thyme and sage, as you descend towards the sea. In spring, the island blooms with carpets of wild flowers and green hills, giving a special magic to the landscape.
